Since 2021, FireSmart BC and BCAA have been working together to enhance wildfire preparedness across British Columbia. With the launch of the BCAA FireSmart BC Initiative in 2023, these joint efforts focused on increasing access to resources and education, particularly for those living in remote, rural, and high-risk area.
As community needs evolve, so has the focus of our partnership. BCAA is the proud Premier Partner of the new Local FireSmart Collective Program, helping even more neighbourhoods and communities take greater strides towards meaningful wildfire mitigation action. Together, we remain committed to helping British Columbians stay informed, empowered, and resilient.

BCAA customers are eligible for discounts when they complete a FREE Wildfire Mitigation Assessment and/or attain FireSmart certification. Visit BCAA to learn more. Completing a free Wildfire Mitigation Assessment and implementing the recommendations can earn homeowners discounts on BCAA Home Insurance. Other insurance companies may also offer savings for those who complete a Wildfire Mitigation Assessment and/or attain FireSmart certification.
