Maiden Pinks

(aka Dianthus deltoides)

Maiden pinks bloom in the spring with an abundance of small, star-shaped flowers in shades of pink, red, and white. They attract pollinators and add visual appeal to FireSmart gardens. This low-growing perennial forms dense mats, making it a great living mulch or groundcover and nice substitute for high-risk bark mulch. It is very cold hardy, ideal for rock gardens, and may be used in the intermediate zone.
