This showy fire-resistant plant with its yellow and green sword-like leaves adds architectural interest to any landscape. The flower spike of creamy blooms open in summer to attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The variegated foliage turns a lovely rosy hue in the fall and this lasts into the winter. Yucca require little maintenance and are useful as accent plants, in rock gardens, and even in containers. They may be placed in the intermediate zone.
