Once a year, the Wildfire Resiliency and Training Summit brings together wildfire practitioners from all over BC and beyond. With speakers and workshops, we explore how to make BC homes, communities, and the landscape more wildfire resilient.

2026: Collective Action: Empowering Communities
The 2026 Wildfire Resiliency and Training Summit in Victoria brought together over 700 professionals, experts, and community leaders to address growing wildfire risks and strengthen preparedness. Centered on the theme “Collective Action: Empowering Communities,” the event emphasized collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and resilience in the face of longer, more intense wildfire seasons driven by climate change. It highlighted the urgent need for year-round fire preparedness to better protect communities across the province.
