Creeping lily turf is a lovely grasslike, fire-resistant perennial with deep green foliage and lavender flower spikes that provide late summer interest. It works well as a living mulch – a practical alternative to bark mulch as it tends to spread. Its ability to tolerate a range of soil and light conditions makes it a nice choice for a woodland garden. It is suitable in the intermediate zone.
