The FireSmart™ BC Education Program
One of the best ways to be FireSmart is to start young. The FireSmart BC Education Program is an all-in-one teaching resource to introduce students in grades K-12 to FireSmart concepts, including how to make homes and communities more resilient to wildfire.
Teacher and student-friendly
Teachers and students will love our FREE educational program. Resources are interactive, inclusive, and purposefully aligned with the B.C. school curriculum, making them easy to teach and fun to learn!
What teachers are saying
“The FireSmart education program was very informative and well planned out. I didn’t have any prep to do as a teacher, and the FireSmart staff representative that came to speak to my class was very knowledgeable.”
Jess Bird
Grade 4 Teacher
Jaffray Elementary School, Jaffray B.C

“On behalf of Canyon Springs Montessori Academy, I would like to thank you for the valuable resources you have provided through FireSmart. Your materials are both informative and practical, and they played a meaningful role in helping us educate our students about fire safety and preparedness.”
