Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle is lovely fire-resistant twining vine with abundant trumpet-shaped flowers in flaming scarlet. Hummingbirds and butterflies and other pollinators are drawn to the blooms that are showy from early summer to fall. The bright red fruits that follow may need occasional cleanup, depending where it is planted. Vines are by nature a ladder fuel, but if they are used in the right place, they can provide nice screening and not be a laddering risk. For instance this honeysuckle could be planted along a chainlink or other non-flammable fence for privacy in the intermediate zone.
